Single Outcome Agreement- how are we doing?

Our Single Outcome Agreement (SOA) provides the framework for public sector partnership working and for you to see how we are doing. Built around a set of 15 national outcomes set by the Scottish Government, New Ways Partners selected the outcomes that are of particular concern in the Scottish Borders and built up our SOA. Each outcome has, underneath it, a set of Performance Indicators i.e. measures that shows you how we are doing. One of the most important aspects of SOA is public reporting and on 2nd October 2009, we submitted our first SOA performance report to the Government- click here to view the full report. Below is an example of what is in the report:

NATIONAL OUTCOME 14 - WE REDUCE THE LOCAL AND GLOBAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF OUR CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

Performance Data Long Trend: Improving

Narrative :

Ongoing PR aimed at householders and traders to promote the various recycling and waste services provided by the Council.  Promoting the benefits to commercial waste producers of recycling, including strategic pricing of recycling service.  Increased recycling services provided at Community Recycling Centres.  Making the recycling services easier to use by moving from dual bag to a single bag dry recyclate collection.  Increased promotion of waste reduction using the three R‘s tying in with national campaigns.
